Wow, what a journey it was. My Dad and I attended 18 events in Queensland over the last 3.5 weeks. Thank you to everyone who invited us, hosted, and fed us…thank you so much!
The tour has turned out to be a fantastic way to showcase different groups within QLD (of course there are many many more). It has also helped existing groups grow because I promote it widely and new people always show up. We collect email addresses at the events to ensure no one leaves without being connected.
In this blog, I will share the links to all the different community groups we met throughout the state. If you’re a local to one of these places and haven’t found your tribe yet, or have recently moved into the area, you can easily connect via these links provided.
I will be doing a tour like this all over Australia. Victoria in February, South Australia in March, Western Australia in April…a rough plan so far :-) If you want to invite me to your group event, fill in the form here.
Here’s a summary video of the entire state tour :-)
Event no.1 - Bundaberg
Bundaberg showed up with smiles and hope! If every event is like this, I will probably explode from the inspiration and positive vibes.

A huge thanks to the ‘Burnett Anti Corruption Group’ who hosted me and did an amazing job creating a perfect atmosphere. If you’re a local and keen to connect with them, here’s the info;

Event no.2 - Yeppoon, QLD
What a lovely day in a lovely area!
I must say…I bloody love Australia and Australians!!!
We are worth fighting for, our culture and beauty are worth fighting for and I’m meeting people every day who will never give up on us…we are the ‘freedom family’ now and forever :-)

Event no.3 - Townsville
Thank you so much to the hosts who invited me to this event. There was over 100 smiling, courageous and ready people. The empowering energy was bouncing off the walls 🙂
The thing that stood out to me the most was the community spirit that was showcased.
Here are some of the groups that were represented last night

Event no.4 - Ingham
You’ll wanna hear this; a nurse told us some inside scoops I hadn’t heard first-hand before.
A small but feisty group here in Ingham.

Event no.5 - Mission beach
We were on a mission to mission beach 🙂 The further North I go, the happier people seem to be. I think it’s the sunshine!
So many Victorian escapees are found in FNQ, it’s shocking! A book needs to be written about the mass exodus of dictator Dan victims.

Event no.6 - Cairns
Biggest event we’ve had. I’m not surprised because I’ve heard Cairns is extremely awake and the groups are unified and work well together.
Well done to the freedom family here, they’re doing an amazing job. Remember, Cairns was the place that pushed back against their council going careless…and won! They’re an example for all of us.

Pushback against wind farms - https://shor.by/Wind-farms
Event no.7 - Tolga
Wow, can’t believe 35 people came to see me in such a small town. We stayed at a lovely lady’s house, spent money in the local shops and enjoyed the rural atmosphere. I really love the tablelands.
I’ll have to come back because we didn’t have any time to be tourists 😞 I’ve booked too many events 🙂
If you’re a local and want to get connected, visit the Humpy shop and they’ll sort you out 🙂 that’s the go-to place there.
Event no.8 - Ravenshoe
I love the tablelands. Communities here ARE READY and won’t take any rubbish from the government! You can tell they have each others backs no matter what.
I think the wind farms are something worth our energy! I’ve been learning a lot about it and I support the pushback 100%.
If you’re a local and want to get connected, visit the Cheeky Possum Cafe and they’ll sort you out 🙂

Event no.9 - Sarina
Wow what an awesome group. They meet EVERY FRIDAY EVENING at Campwin Beach. Everyone brings a yummy plate, the kids play together while the adults socialise.
This is more important than you can imagine! Building on these networks and communities is, in my opinion, the no.1 priority for the Freedom Family. Closely followed by managing or mental state of mind and preparedness.
We stayed at a lovely family home and felt the serenity of this small beachside town. We must come back when we have more time to enjoy.
If you need to connect locally, come to Campwin Beach park on Friday evening from 6pm.
Event no.10 - Rockhampton
It was raining like cats and dogs but over 20 people showed up to greet us.
If you ever need to connect locally, head to Kershaw Gardens, Hut no.11 at 10am every Sunday. SITP are there to welcome you 🙂
Event no.11 - Agnes Water
Wow, what a unique place filled with awake people who intentionally moved here to have this lifestyle. I feel very drawn to come back here one day.
It was raining cats and dogs but I felt so much inspiration and support from them.
If you’re a local and wanna connect, this is how - https://www.facebook.com/groups/holisticconnectionagneswater/
Event no.12 - Noosa
Boy what an event. 90 people showed up on a Monday evening at the local hall in Tinbeerwah. This group is so well organised with different project groups and even fresh produce for sale. Oh…not to mention the snacks are made by a professional chief! Delicious!
That’s the place to go to connect. Every Monday evening from 6pm they’re at the TInbeerwah Hall!
Event no.13 - Moreton Bay
I feel terrible about this but I forgot to make a video after this event and now it just seems unnatural to make one :-( But I have this photo
It was the second-largest event we’ve had…over 150 people. It was a lovely venue, extremely well organised and structured, and with a great team running it all. ‘Moreton Bay safe communities’ runs these events monthly so if you live anywhere near here, you should definitely sign up. Email them or follow their Facebook page.

I feel terrible about this but I forgot to make a video after this event and now it just seems unnatural to make one :-( But I have a few pics
This was the first event that the lovely Susan Wright attended with me to read her amazing children’s book ‘Daniella’. You can watch her reading it here or purchase it from here.

Event no.15 - Russell Island
I feel terrible about this but I forgot to make a video after this event and now it just seems unnatural to make one :-( But I have this photo
I can’t believe how many Freedom Lovers there are on Russell Island. Catching a ferry to an event is pretty magical I gotta say.
Such a happy and vibrant crowd. Amazing pumpkin soup and cheerful faces! I think there’s something to be said about living on an island haha.

Event no.16 - Ormeau
Torrential rain dampened the event slightly…but we made the most of it. Thanks to everyone who endured the storm with us 🙂
It was shaping up to be a great evening (pics to the left) and we ended up wet and crammed in here (pic on the right). We made the most of it.

Event no.17 - Mooloolaba
We’re coming back to Maleny early next year so if you missed out, don’t fret.
We had a lovely casual catch up with around 20 locals. Connections were made and new friendships were formed in front of all our eyes. It was very heartwarming to see.
If you’re a local looking for a tribe, there is a ‘Stand in the Park’ in Cotton Tree every Sunday at 10am.

Event no.18 - Toowoomba
This was the last event of the year and wow…what an event! Around 120 people joined us in Laurel Bank Park this afternoon.
We have such a broad and beautiful Freedom Family 🙂
We had Susan with us, reading her children’s book ‘Daniella’. So many happy smiling faces. A great way to end the tour for the year…we’ll be back at it next year 🙂
‘Stand in the Park’ is every Sunday at Laurel Bank Park at 10am.
Mick and Julie Bannister organise; monthly morning tea every second Saturday and a monthy Dinner on the last Monday of every month.

Sheesh all those Facebook links Monica.
Have you got one of those "cash preferred" posters not at a Facebook link?
